Meet The Free Woman Retreat Founder, Host & Facilitator
The Latoya Mathews, God’s Extraordinary Masterpiece (GEM), is an inner healing coach, best-selling author, transformational speaker, prayer warrior and curse breaker. Born and raised in a small town a part of the Mississippi Delta, this “small town girl” overcame her “small town faith” when choosing to take a leap of faith to move her and her family to Georgia. This transition came after dealing with guilt, shame, hurt, and pains associated with the aftermath of aborting her first child.
While grappling with the lasting effects of having an abortion, and in the company of her then 7-year old daughter, Latoya become aware of her God-given vision and purpose. God gave her vision; a vision she will never forget. She used her God-given vision to push past all her fears of being judged and ridiculed, and to propel her forward into destiny.
When Latoya is not spending cherished time with her most prized possession, her husband and daughter, you can often find her teaching, encouraging, and empowering women to see their value, have fun, and live life. Her mission is to provide a sacred space for women to find meaning in their hurt. Through telling her story, writing, and serving as a coach and speaker, she helps women discover the GEM they are. Latoya believes every woman is a unique GEM God created to shine bright throughout all the Earth.

Sana Latrease Cotten
At the age of 4, Sana was removed from the care of her drug addicted mother and grandmother. It was discovered that Sana had been molested, abused, sold for drugs, and had contracted a sexually transmitted disease. She was placed into foster care where the molestation continued. Despite these circumstances, she is a whole woman and unashamed. By the grace of God, she impacts women all over the country by sharing her journey of becoming her true healed and whole self.
Pastor Pat Lewis
Pastor Lewis, co-founder of Faith, Hope and Love Church International, was born again in 1983 and filled with the Holy Spirit. She accepted the call of God on her life as a worship leader and has walked diligently with the Lord without hesitation. Pastor Lewis as well as her husband, Donnie, of 37 years, believe they are jointly called to bring unity to the body of Christ. Pastor Lewis believes God is always speaking and she positions her heart to always hear and obey. She’s a woman after God’s heart.
